Giving Tuesday at Southlake

Support 100 Hours of Giving for 100 Years of Southlake!

Support GIVING TUESDAY at Southlake!

On Tuesday, November 28, the ‘season of giving’ kicks off around the world with GIVING TUESDAY – an international day of giving (that takes place after Black Friday) to encourage people to “do good” by supporting the charities that are meaningful to them.

This GIVING TUESDAY, Southlake will launch 100 Hours of Giving for 100 Years of Southlake – encouraging everyone in our community to give-back on this special day of generosity and support the patients and families who will depend on Southlake this holiday season, and beyond, for leading edge care, close to home.

An Inspiring Story of Giving Back – #CareLikeRoger

Roger Fox doesn’t draw too much attention to all he does for Southlake Regional Health Centre. A long-time volunteer, he’s not only generously given his time for nearly 20 years, but also each year he donates to a number of campaigns and honours a variety of departments in the hospital through his gifts, to thank physicians and staff for all they do.

A cardiac, cancer, and orthopedic surgery patient, Roger merely wants to give back to those who he credits for saving his life more than once, and for the care Southlake provided his beloved late wife Margaret at the end of her life.

Roger’s story of life-saving care and long-time volunteer service may be remarkable, but the compassionate generosity he inspires in others doesn’t have to be.

This GIVING TUESDAY, we ask you to #CareLikeRoger

DID YOU KNOW that becoming a monthly donor is one of the most powerful ways you can give back to Southlake? Your ongoing support of the hospital allows our teams the reliable funding they need to purchase new tools and technology for our talented clinicians to deliver the very best care possible.  And, the choice is always yours. You can increase or stop your gift at any time.  As a monthly donor, you’ll receive updates from Southlake throughout the year, showing the impact donors like YOU are making through your generosity to help us deliver leading edge care close to home.

“How do you say THANK YOU to someone for saving your life? I am blessed to be able to give back, and I hope others can join me in supporting our great hospital this holiday season.”

Roger Fox, Grateful Patient, Southlake Volunteer, Loyal Donor
